Every June there is the Kaga Hyakumangoku Festival in Kanazawa. This festival has tea parties, a parade, and concerts. This festival’s main event is the Hyakumangoku Parade. So people dress in old costumes and parade about the city.
  Lord Maeda moved to Kanazawa castle from Nanao castle in 1583. The Hyakumangoku Festival Parade is a commemorative event symbolizing his move.
