Toshiie started the tea ceremony in Kanazawa. So refreshments were needed for the ceremony. Kanazawa is most famous for its confectioneries. In Ishikawa, some famous confectioneries are gosikinamagasi, fukuume and tyouseiden.

 Toshitsune married Tama in 1601. For the wedding they were given confectioneries.
That confectionery was gosikinamagasi. Gosikinamagasi is a wedding gift confectionery even now in Kanazawa.
